2015 Lexus NX pricing announced

Not even a month away from release, and the Lexus NX may have already bested its toughest challenge after overcoming a run-in with “artist” will.i.am. Once you’ve survived potentially being mangled like a Frankenstein monster at the hands of one of the worst songwriters of a generation, you can only really go up.

Lexus announced pricing for the new 2015 NX crossover, and the news is good for those looking to get in on the fun without paying a mint.

The turbocharged NX 200t FWD starts at $34,480, and the NX 200t with AWD will run $35,880 (neither price includes the $935 destination charge). The 200t gets Lexus’ first ever turbocharged powertrain, which generates 235 horsepower and is mated to a six-speed automatic.

On the hybrid side of things, the Lexus NX 300h will start at $40,645 for FWD and jumps up to $42,235 for AWD. The hybrid uses a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle four cylinder mated to a CVT for 194 horsepower.

It’s anticipated that the NX will be offered in at least five trim levels consisting of: Base, Comfort, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport. Car and Driver surmises that these trims will add everything from a power tilt/telescoping steering column and three-memory driver’s seat (Comfort) to sport-tuned handling and unique aesthetic touches (F Sport), all at additional cost.

Given the November 18 launch on the East Coast and an East Coast launch scheduled for November 26, it’s a given that there will be a configurator making its way to the web sometime in the very near future. When it drops, we’ll have all the info you’re looking for, so stay tuned.
