2015 Scion FR-S and tC

There’s good news and bad news when it comes to the 2015 Scion FR-S and tC, which were announced yesterday and are scheduled to go on sale early in June. Of course, we here at The News Wheel don’t like the idea of dumping a bunch of great information on you only to then bum you out with a bunch of downer news, nor are we fond of telling you things you won’t like only to then try and raise your spirits with some good things. This is why we’re going to deliver good news/bad news in intervals.

Good news: the 2015 Scion FR-S will feature “enhanced tuning”—which includes better handling, improved rigidity in the front suspension, retuned rear shock absorbers, and improved damping—and “improved looks” through a shark-fin antenna, larger exhaust tips, and an updated interior panel. 2015 tC models with automatic transmissions will have paddle shifters, and there will be two new colors available; Cosmic Gray instead of Classic Silver and Blizzard Pearl instead of Super White.

Bad news: so far as we can tell, this is all that is new in the 2015 Scion FR-S and tC.

Good news: the price bumps are minimal, with the FR-S starting at $24,900 (manual) or $26,000 (automatic) and the tC starting at $19,210 (manual) or $20,360 (automatic).

Bad news: price bumps. Ugh. Who needs ‘em?

Good news: it’s a new Scion FR-S and a new Scion tC, and they’ll be here in about a month.

Bad news: It’s not June yet, so we still have to wait a little bit for them to arrive.

Good news: did we mention that it’s the FR-S and tC?

Bad news: if you don’t enjoy the FR-S and tC, you probably also hate fun and ice cream.
