2016 Buick Cascada Overview

The 2016 Buick Cascada is the first North American convertible produced by Buick in 25 years, and it features a starting MSRP of $33,065. The 2016 Cascada offers a 2X2 seating configuration, a 200 hp turbo engine, and it also comes standard with OnStar 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. The 2016 Buick Cascada is scheduled to go on sale in early 2016.

The 2016 Buick Cascada is available in two trims: 1SV and Premium.

2016 Buick Cascada Exterior

The stylish Cascada surprisingly does not feature Buick’s famous waterfall grille, but it does offer a sleek, sculpted look, which is complete with standard 20-inch wheels and LED daytime running lamps. Wing-shaped LED taillights are found on the back of the Cascada, which are accentuated by a strip of chrome. Exterior color options for the 2016 Buick Cascada include Flip Chip Silver Metallic, Graystone Metallic, Deep Sky Metallic, Toasted Coconut Metallic, Carbon Black Metallic, and Summit White.

2016 Buick Cascada Performance

The 2016 Buick Cascada comes equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and six-speed automatic transmission, which work together to produce 200 horsepower and 206 lb-ft of torque. The engine of the new Cascada also comes with an overboost function that can push torque to 221 lb-ft for brief stretches. Furthermore, the 2016 Cascada will make use of a HiPer Strut front suspension and responsive Watts Z-link suspension in the rear of the vehicle.

2016 Buick Cascada Interior

The 2016 Buick Cascada’s soft top roof folds into a hard tonneau behind the rear seats, and it can actually be lowered in just 17 seconds–even when traveling at speeds up to 31 mph. With the top down, the 2016 Cascada provides 9.8 cubic feet of carbo space. With the top up, cargo space grows to 13.4 cubic feet. The interior of the new Cascada also comes with advanced technology such as OnStar 4G LTE with Built-in Wi-Fi hotspot and Buick Intellink with a seven-inch-diagonal color touch screen. Furthermore, the 2016 Buick Cascada comes standard with both heated front seats and steering wheel.

2016 Buick Cascada Safety

The 2016 Buick Cascada has yet to undergo crash testing for either the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. However, the 2016 Buick Cascada does offer advanced safety technology such as rear park assist, lane departure warning, rollover protection bars, Rainsense windshield wipers, and a rearview camera.
