2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Performance
The E250 BlueTEC sedan is powered by a 2.1-liter twin-turbo diesel inline-four engine that is good for 195 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Under the hood of the E350 sedan sits a 3.5-liter V6 that lays out 302 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. A 3.0-liter biturbo V6 powers the E400 sedan (329 horsepower, 354 lb-ft of torque), while a handcrafted 5.5-liter AMG biturbo V8 motivates the AMG E63 sedan.
The E400 coupe benefits from the same 3.0-liter biturbo V6 as the sedan variant, while the E550 coupe uses a 4.7-liter biturbo V8 to deliver 402 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque.
The E350 wagon takes the same powertrain as the E350 sedan, and the AMG E63 S wagon borrows the same powerful handcrafted engine from the sedan model.
The E400 cabriolet takes the E400 sedan’s 3.0-liter biturbo V6, and the E550 cabriolet takes the sedan’s 4.7-liter biturbo V8.
