2016 SRT Hellcat Models Get New Strip Design, Exclusive Plum Crazy Color
When it comes to power, few production cars can keep up with the Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats. For over a year, the Hellcats’ 707-horsepower supercharged HEMI has blown the competition out of the water, kicking ass and taking names on roadways and drag strips alike. Now, to honor the Hellcat’s superior speed, Dodge has decided to give the muscle cars their very own Dodge performance stripes.
Satisfying Performance: Check out why the Dodge Challenger won a Vehicle Satisfaction Award
“The SRT Hellcat models are America’s ultimate performance car duo, and these already legendary Challenger Charger models have given Dodge more than the title of ‘fastest and most powerful muscle cars ever,’ they continue to drive sales, records, increase brand profitability, draw new and younger customers to the brand and fuel interest across our entire vehicle lineup—achievements worthy of earning an exclusive set of performance stripes,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands for Dodge, SRT, Chrysler, and Fiat.
The all-new dual full-length body stripes give the Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats a customized look. Each design covers front and rear fascias, along with the roof and deck lid. There’s even a tailored design around the Hellcat’s unique duct hood vent, which emphasizes each model’s power. In addition to the new stripes, Dodge has also extended the popular Plum Crazy color, a hue of purple that goes back to the 1970s.
Dealers will begin taking orders for the new Hellcat stripes this month, meaning you can get the stripes that reflect your Hellcat’s power. To get the stripes, all you have to do is fork over $995.
