Performance

The Ford Fiesta boasts energetic performance with a standard 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine. You can pair the engine to a five-speed manual transmission or a PowerShift six-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift, depending on your preference. Either way, the Fiesta’s standard powertrain gives off 120 horsepower and 112 lb-ft of torque. The Fiesta ST steps performance up a notch with a 1.6-liter turbocharged direct-injection EcoBoost engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission. This combination has an output of 197 horsepower and 202 lb-ft of torque.

Efficiency

Efficiency is truly where the Fiesta shines. Since it’s a compact car, the Fiesta won’t guzzle gas the way an SUV would. When equipped with the standard powertrain, the 2018 Fiesta earns an estimated 27 mpg in the city, 35 mpg on the highway, and 30 mpg combined. If you decide to opt for the Fiesta ST, you’ll upgrade your performance without completely throwing efficiency out the window. The turbo EcoBoost earns an estimated 26 mpg in the city, 33 mpg on the highway, and 29 mpg combined.

Interior

You’ll find plenty of features to love inside the cabin of the 2018 Fiesta. If you’re a music lover, you can opt for SiriusXM Satellite Radio on the SE. The sedan and hatchback models each offer a total passenger volume of 85.1 cubic feet, but your interior cargo space will depend on which body configuration you choose. The four-door sedan comes with 12.8 cubic feetof storage space in the trunk, while the hatchback offers up to 25.4 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. With the seats up, you can utilize up to 14.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row.

Safety

Preventing an accident is one of the most important parts of driving, but you want to be prepared in case the unthinkable happens. The Ford Fiesta comes with an SOS Post-Crash Alert System. This system is activated when your airbags deploy; it will turn on your hazard lights and begin beeping your horn to get people’s attention.
