The compact Volkswagen Golf GTI is available at three trim levels — S, SE, and Autobahn. Each model is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission. This powertrain generates 220 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. You can also opt for a six-speed automatic transmission.
“Upper trim levels of the Golf GTI include Volkswagen’s DCC active suspension control, which adjusts the firmness of the suspension based on road and driving conditions,” reports Vincent who adds that the “GTI comes with an impressive warranty that covers the car for six years or 72,000 miles.”
The GTI SE and GTI Autobahn are equipped with advanced driver assist safety technologies such as Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist), Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Traffic Alert. A Rear View Camera System is a standard feature on the S and SE trims while the Autobahn features an Overhead View Camera (Area View).
