What’s New on the 2019 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan

Not much has changed for the CTS-V when compared with the previous model year. Though Cadillac has deleted two exterior colors — Vector Blue Metallic and Phantom Gray Metallic — and added two new ones — Wave Metallic and Velocity Red. Additionally, the brand has also discontinued the Champion Edition package.

Performance

The vivacity of the 2019 CTS-V is a testimony to the brand’s reputation for producing mighty powertrains. A 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission to churn out a stunning 640 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque. This means that you can go from a standstill to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. The model also boasts a 200-mph top track speed. Lastly, Cadillac has incorporated Magnetic Ride Control with Performance Traction Management technology, to enhance the precision and control of the vehicle each time you get behind the wheel.

Exterior features

The exterior of the 2019 CTS-V sedan is as functional as it is edgy in style. It comes with Brembo® front and rear performance antilock brakes, as well as Gray Brembo® brake calipers. A quad-outlet exhaust system and 19-inch forged premium painted alloy wheels lends a sporty vibe while High-Intensity Discharge headlamps pair with Rainsense™ automatic wipers to improve visibility dim and/or wet driving conditions. A power trunk release makes it easier to access the contents of the cargo area.

Interior features

The cabin of the CTS-V elaborates on the athletic aura of its exterior. The cockpit puts forth alloy sport pedals, magnesium paddle shift controls, and a sport leather-wrapped steering wheel. Leather upholstery pairs with ventilated and heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. That means you can stay at just the right temperature on each drive. Available Recaro performance seats add a sporty vibe to the cabin.
