2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Named to US News’ Fastest Sedans List

“The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is the highest-horsepower model on our list of the fastest sedans, boasting almost 70 ponies more than the next closest competitor. It’s also one of the more affordable models on our list,” reports U.S. News & World Report writer Cherise Threewitt.

The 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is equipped with a 6.2-liter Supercharged HEMI V8 SRT engine paired to an automatic 8-speed transmission to generate 707 horsepower. The Charger SRT Hellcat can reach 60 miles per hour in approximately 3.4 seconds, and it has a top speed of 204 mph. It is equipped with a Brembo six-piston high-performance brake system, a Bilstein Adaptive Damping Suspension, and Bilstein Semi-active Suspension. The 2019 Charger SRT offers seamless smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the exterior features a new performance grille with dual air inlets.

“This large sedan doesn’t handle as well as some of its rivals, but that’s the tradeoff when you want a supercharged HEMI V8 engine straight from Detroit. This is the most potent American muscle car out there,” Threewitt writes.
