2019 Nissan TITAN Makes US News’ List of Best Trucks for Families

When most drivers think about trucks, they might reflect on power, towing capability, hauling capacity, worksites, and hard work. But, trucks have a softer side; a family-friendly side. U.S. News & World Report recently rounded up the “Best Trucks for Families in 2019,” which included the 2019 Nissan TITAN.

The editors at U.S. News were impressed with the truck’s safety features, as well as its comfortable and quiet ride.

“The 2019 TITAN earned a four-star overall crash test rating from the NHTSA and the top rating of Good in five IIHS tests,” said U.S. News & World Report writer Cherise Threewitt. “Nissan includes a rearview camera and offers a surround-view camera, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors.”

The standard 5.6-liter DOHC 32-valve V8 engine is paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission to generate 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, the 2019 Nissan TITAN can tow a maximum load of 9,660 pounds and a maximum payload of 1,850 pounds. Standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow for seamless smartphone integration helping drivers stay connected no matter where the road takes them. An AM/FM/CD audio system with 7-inch touch-screen display is standard while a Fender® Premium audio system with 7-inch touch-screen display is an available feature. A 40/20/40-split bench front seat with flip down center seat with armrest makes for a versatile and organized cabin. Dual-zone climate control and heated and ventilated front seats help create a comfortable interior.
