What’s New

The 2020 Cadillac CT5 is a brand-new model, so it doesn’t have any updates from previous model years.

Exterior

Much like the Cadillac CT6-V, the CT5’s exterior borrows influences from the 2016 Cadillac Escala concept car. In addition to its fastback profile and dynamic stance, it boasts daytime LED lighting with signature Y-shaped taillights and a huge grille. You can also customize your ride by choosing between 18-, 19-, or 20-inch tires. On the Sport model, the CT5 boasts Brembo brakes, a sport grille, streamlined fascias, rockers, and a sleek spoiler.

Interior

Inside, the 2020 Cadillac CT5 is loaded with premium materials, like real leather, wood, and met. Front and center, you’ll find the 10-inch touch screen display, complete with the Cadillac User Experience, which can also be accessed via a rotary controller knob. Other upscale amenities include available built-in Wi-Fi, wireless charging capabilities and an auto-dimming mirror, along with heated, ventilated, and lumbar-messaging front seats. Go for the Sport trim to enjoy Carbon fiber interior decor and a performance steering wheel with magnesium paddle shifters.

Performance

Get the most out of your drive with the CT5’s standard high-tech 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbo engine. On the Premium Luxury and Sport models, you can opt for the 3.0-liter V6. Estimates vary for each engine’s power output, but the 2.0-liter model is estimated to put out 237-275 horsepower, while the 3.0-liter is guessed between 335-440 horsepower. Both mills are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and come standard with rear-wheel drive. All models offer all-wheel drive.

Safety

With an advanced suite of high-tech driver-assist technology, including standard Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking, the CT5 is designed to pamper and protect. Although full details aren’t known yet, the CT5 is expected to offer the Super Cruise hands-free driving system, albeit with late availability. It’s also expected to offer available features including rear park assist and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone mirrors.
