The Cadillac XT4 made its debut last year, giving consumers a new luxury crossover to consider. With its high-end materials — inside and out — and sleek styling, the XT4 has garnered much positive attention all around the automotive world.
The 2020 Cadillac XT4 is available at three trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. All models come with standard front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive.

What’s new for the 2020 Cadillac XT4?
The XT4 was an all-new model last year, so it would be strange for Cadillac to change anything major on its popular SUV. As such, only minor adjustments have been made for the 2020 model year. Safety systems like Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking are now standard. When it comes to convenience, the Premium Luxury trim and above now get a standard hands-free power liftgate.
Exterior
On the outside, the 2020 XT4 Luxury features the signature Cadillac grille accented by LED Daytime Running Lamps and 18-inch alloy wheels with a Bright Silver finish. Moving up to the Premium Luxury trim adds more convenience via the heated, power outside mirrors; Rainsense automatic wipers; a hands-free power liftgate; and illuminated door handles. The Sport trim offers an exclusive grille and Gloss Black accents for extra style, but not much else in terms of convenience.
Interior
Because it’s a Cadillac and you expect premium materials and amenities, the base trim of the 2020 XT4 features an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with two-way power lumbar, Active Noise Cancellation, leatherette seating surfaces, a six-way power-adjustable front passenger’s seat with two-way power lumbar, and an interior humidity sensor. The seating upgrades to leather on the Premium Luxury trim, and you also get ambient lighting, Driver Memory, and a rear cargo area shade. Extra comfort can be had in the 2020 XT4 Sport’s front seats thanks to four-way power lumbar support and seatback bolsters. Additional visual touches are found inside the Sport with its alloy pedals and Sport leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Performance and Efficiency
Nothing changes under the hood of the 2020 Cadillac XT4. Each model is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Combined, this powertrain is capable of a respectable 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Fuel efficiency is maintained into this model year as well, with the front-wheel drive XT4 getting 24 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway, and 26 mpg combined. Efficiency drops for the all-wheel drive models to 22 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and 24 mpg combined.

Safety
As mentioned previously, Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking are new standard safety features for the 2020 Cadillac XT4. Front Pedestrian Braking, an HD Rear Vision Camera, Passenger Sensing System, Rear Park Assist, and Teen Driver are all standard as well. Additional safety systems are added to the Premium Luxury and Sport trims, including Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and the parking assist system protects the front and rear.
