The editors at Kelley Blue Book are in consensus that the 2020 Chevy Corvette is tops in resale value for sports cars. The Corvette took home the honor of the 2020 KBB Best Resale Value Award in the Sports Car category for its price, performance, and style.
Style and Value: Check out the 2020 Chevy Corvette Stingray
According to their Expert Review:
“While the previous Corvette was hardly a slouch, Chevrolet had reached the limits of extraction. Placing the engine in the middle puts more weight over the rear wheels, which enhances acceleration, grip and overall balance,” they write. “As either a coupe with a removable roof panel or a convertible, the 2020 Corvette might just be mistaken for an Italian exotic.”
Price
According to the KBB editors, it’s a welcomed surprise that although the Corvette boasts substantial changes and updates for 2020, its price tag barely reflects its notable transformation.
“The base Stingray saw its Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) go up only $1,000, despite substantive changes to the car’s design, styling and performance,” report the KBB editors.
Style
The Chevy Corvette has always had a standout, signature style, and 2020 model continues that legacy of design with innovative engineering and updates. With such stunning design, there’s little doubt in the KBB editors’ minds that the Corvette’s look will support its value for years to come.
“…the previous Stingray’s styling was such a success that it boosted residual values, and we expect the same to be true with the C8,” add the KBB editors.
Performance
The powerful performance has been undeniable in the Corvette since its inception, but the 2020 model seems to be the best yet.
“What’s more, the C8’s performance is a huge improvement over the 2019 Vette’s, and we feel that pre-orders and pent-up demand for the new car will result in elevated values,” according to KBB.
