Toyota has given its new 2020 Corolla and Corolla Hatchback the Nightshade treatment, a sleek and stylish appearance package that with a lot of blacked-out components.
Introduced earlier this year, the all-new 2020 Corolla is getting the Nightshade Edition as an option for the SE grade with the CVT and will go into production this fall. It boasts blacked-out badging, black grille surround, black-painted rocker panels, black window trim, black outside door handles, and black heated power outside mirrors with turn signal indicators.
But it doesn’t stop there. The Corolla Nightshade Edition also gets blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels, a black roof-mounted shark fin antenna, and a black spoiler and lower diffuser area. As you can see in the promotional photo above, it nicely complements the Super White exterior color, though it’s also available with Toyota’s Classic Silver Metallic and Black Sand Pearl.
It’s All-New: 2020 Toyota Corolla
It’s largely the same story for the Corolla Hatchback Nightshade, which gets black mirror caps, black side rockers, a black factory spoiler, black rear lower spoiler, black lower front rocker, black rear exhaust diffusers, and the same blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels as on the regular Corolla sedan. Its headlights also get a black inner frame and, of course, the badging is blacked-out as well. The exterior color options are the same, except that Black Sand Pearl gets swapped with Midnight Black Metallic. Throw in the black interior and nobody will see you coming.
With the introduction of the two new Corolla Nightshade Edition models, the blacked-out package is now offered on six Toyota vehicles, with the Camry, 4Runner, Highlander, and Sienna already available.
