Are you eager to get your hands on all 480 horsepower of the Ford Mustang Bullitt but didn’t get your chance with the 2019 model year? Fear not — Ford has confirmed that the special-edition 2020 Mustang Bullitt is coming, but you’ll have to pony up just a little bit extra for your Dark Highland Green (or Shadow Black) pony car.

A Ford spokesperson confirmed to CarsDirect that the 2020 Mustang Bullitt will be arriving later this year, giving you one more chance to get behind the wheel of the car inspired by the classic Steve McQueen film. It’ll be the same car — all 480 tire-shredding horsepower of it — but it will carry a higher starting price of $48,905 (including destination fee). That’s up $1,215 year-over-year without any added features, but if you’re hot to get your hands on one and didn’t get the chance the first time out, it’s probably well worth it.

Car and Driver confirmed with Ford that the 2020 Mustang Bullitt won’t be the only one to see its price go up. According to C/D, every other Mustang will see a $250 price bump across the range, which is not all that uncommon or unusual even without any added features. The spokesman also told C/D that the more significant bump with the Bullitt is “due to high demand,” which makes sense given how integral its sales performance was in helping the Mustang claim the title of world’s best-selling sports coupe in 2018.

Of course, you could always wait and see how much Ford will be asking for the 760-horsepower 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500, but it’s a fair bet that you’ll be looking at a price tag quite a bit higher than $50,000 for the privilege.
