Ford has announced that it will put a one-of-a-kind 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 Venom up for grabs at a raffle on Nov. 14. Tickets are available for $10 at https://p2p.onecause.com/jdrfgt500 until Nov. 10, and all the proceeds from the raffle will directly benefit longtime Ford partner JDRF. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will use the funds earned from the raffle in its quest to defeat Type 1 diabetes.
“Building on the excitement around GT500 is a terrific way to help JDRF fund research and help find a cure for Type 1 diabetes,” said Dave Pericak, Ford director of enterprise product line management. “Not only does this raffle provide an opportunity to win the most powerful production Ford ever, it also speaks to how Ford strives to make people’s lives better.”

The 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 Venom builds on the utterly insane 760-horsepower pony car, adding a one-of-one Venom metallic clearcoat — co-created with Protean and Penske Vehicle Services — and black racing stripes. It’ll be equipped with the Carbon Fiber Track Package, which means it will feature exposed carbon fiber wheels with ultra-grippy Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, Recaro leather-trimmed front seats (and rear seats deleted), and the track wing pulled from the Mustang GT4 race car.
Ford hopes to sell 75,000 tickets so that it can raise at least $750,000 for JDRF’s cause. While a lucky winner will take home the only 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 Venom made, the second-prize winner comes up pretty lucky as well with a VIP experience for two at the 2020 Daytona 500.
