Experience Bethlehem’s unique tribute to the new year by attending PEEPSFEST, an annual two-day extravaganza celebrating marshmallow PEEPS. Festivities include family-friendly activities like magician demonstrations and child-appropriate bands, a 5K, and more. Though, the main attraction of the event is when festival staff drop a 400-pound PEEPS Chick at midnight on New Year’s Eve.
New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Philadelphia
Start 2020 with a bang when you attend one of the two fireworks shows on the Delaware River waterfront in Philadelphia. The first show starts at 6 p.m. and the second one starts at midnight, to accommodate families with young children and adults who want to enjoy a full night of New Year’s festivities. Last Laughs of 2019: Gamut New Years Eve
The Gamut Theatre group offers a lighthearted way to say goodbye to 2019 and say hello to 2020. Reserve tickets for the “Last Laughs of 2019” New Year’s Eve event, a series of short, comedic performances from members of the group. Peggy’s Pub will provide refreshments. Doors open at 8:30 and the event continues through midnight so you can view Harrisburg’s fireworks. After the display, VIP ticket-holders can head backstage to join Gamut members for conversation over hot beverages.
New Year’s Eve Tubing Party
Take your family to Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton for the New Year’s Eve Tubing Party on Dec. 31. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. and continues through 1 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Tickets include snow tubing, as well as DJ entertainment, dinner and dessert. Guests 21 years and older can participate in a free champagne toast when the clock strikes midnight.
Family New year’s Eve Party
Lancaster County offers another family-friendly holiday event worth the drive: the Family New Year’s Eve Party at Laserdome in Manheim. Book tickets ahead online to save $7 on each ticket you purchase. Sparkling cider, noisemakers, party hats, leis, and a TouchTunes Dance Party are just some of the festivities to partake in. Pinball, laser tag, arcade games, and a roller coaster simulator are additional pastimes.
