One month from today marks Dining Out For Life — an annual giving event that collects donations for people with HIV.

Subaru hosts the HIV fundraiser, which will take place on Thursday, April 25. About 60 local HIV service organizations are teaming up with 3,000 restaurants, thousands of volunteers, and 300,000 diners to raise $4 million.

All restaurants that participate in the HIV fundraiser give a percentage of their sales to a local organization offering services for those afflicted with HIV. Dining Out For Life will ensures that the generous restaurants fill their eateries with diners.

The event will welcome voluntary celebrity guest speakers. This list includes Mondo Guerra, “Runaway Remake” host; actor and activist Pam Grier; and author Ted Allen, who hosts the Food Network’s “Chopped.”

Subaru has been involved with Dining Out For Life for more than 10 years.

“We are happy to continue our long-standing sponsorship of Dining Out For Life in an effort to raise awareness and funds that allow the continued fight against HIV/AIDS that impact many in our communities,” said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Subaru of America Inc. “Through the Subaru Love Promise, we work to make a positive impact for causes, initiatives and organizations that our owners care most about, simply because it is the right thing to do. We are proud to have Dining Out For Life as one of those initiatives.”
