For the 2014 model year, the Kia Rio 5-Door comes out swinging. With a low stance and curvy exterior, the hatchback has a particularly quirky character that is appealing without being too over the top. A prominent, honeycomb grille and edgy headlights create a unique front façade, while the simple, yet sporty rear gives off a noticeable energy that makes you want to drive this subcompact fast.

2014 Kia Rio 5-Door Performance

A 1.6-liter inline four powers all models of the Rio hatchback, churching out a decent 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque. A standard six-speed automatic is the transmission of choice with front-wheel-drive, though the LX model does come with an optional six-speed manual. Combined, this drivetrain makes for a peppy ride and a great drive.
