The Sierra, Terrain, and Acadia are among GMC’s most popular models. Still, it was a less famous GMC vehicle that really stood out in terms of sales growth during the year’s first quarter.

GMC Savana Sales were up by 36.9 percent during the first quarter of 2019.

During this allotted time period, GMC sold a total of 6,566 Savana models. During the first quarter of 2018, GMC only managed to deliver 4,797 Savana vehicles.

This sales trend could indicate a growing commercial market for the GMC brand. Nevertheless, GMC’s retail operation were not without its own successes.

Acadia sales grew 4.3 percent during the first quarter of the year. GMC delivered a total of 31,200 Acadia vehicles to customers throughout the first three months of the year.

Yukon sales remained stagnant. With 14,947 Yukon models sold, sales for the SUV only fell 0.4 percent, compared to the 15,002 Yukon vehicles it sold during the first quarter of 2018.

Sales for the GMC Sierra were also relatively stable, only affected by a 2.2 percent sales loss. With 40,546 Sierras sold during the first quarter of 2019, the pickup truck remains GMC’s highest-selling vehicle.

The GMC Terrain saw much more significant sales losses. Terrain sales fell 23.1 percent, with 25,364 Terrain models sold.

Overall, GMC sold a total of 125,577 vehicles during the first quarter of the year. During that same period in 2018, GMC sold 131,344 vehicles, accounting for a 4.4 percent sales loss between then and now.
