You Can Name the 2015 Camaro Special Edition
That’s right, Harry, you are the Chosen One. Or, at least, you could be. That’s because, in honor of yesterday’s National Name Your Car Day, Chevy is giving fans the chance to name the 2015 Camaro Special Edition model, a Camaro SS that will make its official debut in exclusive Emerald Green paint at SEMA in Las Vegas.
“Chevrolet has made a tradition of offering special-edition models each spring, but this is the first time we’ve turned to the community of Camaro fans to name it,” commented Todd Christensen, the Camaro marketing manager. “We can’t think of a better way to involve the owners and enthusiasts who have made it the segment’s best-selling sports car for four years running.”
To name the 2015 Camaro Special Edition, fans can hop on Facebook or Twitter and submit their names using the hashtag #NameThatCamaro. The winning name will be announced when the model debuts at SEMA.
The special edition Camaro SS will be available as either a coupe or convertible on the 2SS trim, and the unique exterior color is not the only extra goodie that this baby gets. The 2015 Camaro Special Edition also benefits from a body-color accessory ground effects package, SS hood extractor, and ZL1 rear spoiler; Cyber Gray rally stripes; Chrome Dusk 21-inch accessory wheels; and the RS Appearance Package, which includes high-intensity discharge headlamps, LED taillamps, body-color roof moldings and antenna, and RS-specific front upper grille.
Optional on the special edition Camaro are dual-mode exhaust, navigation radio, the Chevrolet Performance short-throw shifter, and a sunroof.
