New Outlander Sport Trims Revealed with More Powerful 2.4-Liter Engine
Mitsubishi’s best-selling vehicle in the US just got even better with the announcement that it will offer two more trim levels with a larger, more powerful engine.
The 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport will now offer a 2.4 ES trim level and a 2.4 GT trim level that offer the 168 horsepower 2.4-liter four cylinder that’s good for about 20 horsepower over the current 2.0-liter.
The 2.4 ES will start at $21,295 and has a black center bumper to show the public that it’s no regular ES. The GT will start at $23,595 and offer a power driver’s seat, aluminum pedals, outside mirrors with LED turn indicators, and a leather-wrapped parking brake handle.

Optional features on the GT include a 710-watt Rockford Fosgate sound system, a panoramic glass roof with mood lighting, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Opt for the touring package to get full leather seating and a navigation system.
Combine the more powerful motor with Mitsubishi’s All Wheel Control system and you’ll have yourself one serious winter commuter that will still be extremely efficient when you need it to be.
