2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid Wins US News & World Report’s Best Hybrid Car for Families
The winners have been announced in US News & World Report’s 2015 Best Cars for Families, and the Ford Fusion Hybrid has taken home the title of Best Hybrid Car for Families for an impressive fourth year in a row.
The 2015 Fusion Hybrid is relatively unchanged from the previous year’s iteration, but the one major change is one that played a considerable factor in its win. By making a rearview camera standard equipment, the Fusion Hybrid is a significantly safer vehicle for families, not to mention a more appealing option at a low starting MSRP just under $27,000.
Also standard for the Fusion Hybrid is dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, cabin air filter, and rear A/C vents, all of which make it an ideal vehicle for a small family. With an EPA-estimated 44 miles per gallon city and 41 mpg highway, the Fusion Hybrid is perhaps most significant for its ability to alleviate your wallet of the strain of fuel prices.
Another significant factor in the award is safety. To that end, the Fusion Hybrid features standard dual front airbags, front-seat side airbags, 1st– and 2nd-row side curtain airbags, and driver and front passenger knee airbags; Tire Pressure Monitoring System; AdvanceTrac®; child safety locks; and optional inflatable rear safety belts.
