The BMW 4 Series Convertible

One of the things we were most looking forward to with the announcement of the BMW 4 Series was the eventual release of a convertible.  BMW clearly has only treats up its sleeve this October as it has unveiled the much-anticipated 4 Series Convertible at last; unsurprisingly, this one is a stunner.

The car itself is beautiful, absolutely.  It will come in 428i and 435i configurations, much like the 4 Series Coupe, and will boast the sort of dynamic driving and aesthetic brilliance we’ve only come to expect from BMW over the years.

But one of the more impressive aspects of the reveal, truthfully, was the length of BMW’s press release, which stretches out more like a divine scroll than any standard piece of copy.  Within, one will find all of the things that drivers would expect a BMW convertible to boast—an elegant frame and powerful silhouette, sporty design and functional sophistication, and the availability of Sport, M Sport, and Luxury line availability.

Some of the things that we are most excited to see and that will no doubt make the Series 4 Convertible one of a kind is the presence of BMW EfficientDynamics (which improves performance by reduced vehicle weight), BMW ConnectedDrive, BMW xDrive for the 428i Convertible, and standard BMW Assist with ten years of eCall emergency calling and Automatic Collision Notification.  Though specs are probably a considerable ways off, these facts almost guarantee a vehicle that is technologically advanced, more fuel-efficient, and more dependable than any average convertible.

However given the fact that the Series 4 Convertible will, after all, be a BMW, this can’t come as much of a surprise.
