A dedicated legacy
Per GM Authority, Cadillac first set down roots in China in 2003. Since then, it has established more than 300 dealerships in the country.
SAIC-GM president Wang Yongqing expressed pride at how far the brand has come since it started to stake its claim on China. “For 16 years, Cadillac has been committed to bringing a new experience to China’s luxury car market. Our lineup has grown at a fast and steady pace, becoming popular among those who have a passion for life.”
The festivities
Major achievements deserve major partying. To this end, the automaker hosted a Cadillac Night event at Beijing’s Cadillac Arena. Nearly 7,000 Cadillac dealers, fans, and owners attended the celebration.
Singaporean pop singer JJ Lin also made an appearance, serenading the crowd with a live performance. The set list included “Wonderland,” a song he claimed was inspired by the CT5 sedan’s appealing qualities.
Cadillac also revealed the CT4 during the event. Though this model debuted in North America earlier this year, it had yet to release in China. Per GM Authority, the CT4 will join the brand’s Chinese lineup early next year.
