Cadillac has announced that its XT4 compact SUV will launch in Europe, and it will be offering a Europe-exclusive 6d-compatible 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine that’s expected to deliver 170 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Set to go on sale next year, the 2020 Cadillac XT4 launches in two variants: the XT4 Launch Edition and XT4 Launch Edition Sport.
The 2020 Cadillac XT4 Launch Edition boasts 18-inch aluminum wheels and satin aluminum exterior details. Like the XT4 Sport in other global markets, the XT4 Launch Edition Sport replaces those shiny exterior accents with gloss-black, and it swaps in 20-inch aluminum wheels and clear-lens LED taillights while adding aluminum sport pedals on the inside.

Both variants are standard with front-wheel drive, and the XT4 Launch Edition Sport will be available with twin-clutch all-wheel drive. The Launch Edition Sport will also feature an Active Sport Suspension with Continuous Damping Control, allowing the XT4 to read the road and adjust damping every two milliseconds. Also exclusive to the Launch Edition Sport is adaptive cruise control with stop and go and a Head-Up Display.
The 2020 Cadillac XT4 Launch Edition and XT4 Launch Edition Sport both feature a surround-vision camera, automatic parking assist, and Cadillac user interface as standard equipment.
Among the options announced for the Europe-spec 2020 Cadillac XT4 is an optional Premium Package. The Premium Package includes power adjustable and ventilated front seats with massage functionality, perforated leather upholstery in three (Launch Edition) or two (Launch Edition Sport) color schemes, and an UltraView sunroof with electric sunblind.
Cadillac has announced that the XT4 Launch Edition will start at €42,900 (approximately US$47,500) and the Launch Edition Sport will start at €49,200 (approximately US$54,500) in Germany.
