The folks over at TheFastLaneTruck.com received a tip from one of their viewers. A chrome exterior rearview mirror cover popped up in a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 search on the GMC Accessories website.

Its product page displays a picture of the chrome cover only, leaving us in the suspense of our imagination. The accessory starts at a price of $100 and comes in a set of two for the driver and front passenger.

Only one side mirror was available at the launch of the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. Will the 1500 get the larger towing mirrors this year and join the hefty truck crowd?

This year’s trucks follow a pattern where its side mirrors act as a “post mirror.” They attach to a lower part of the door. While light duty trucks utilize a horizontal-shaped mirror, HD trucks for the 2020 model year, including the Silverado, feature a vertical shape that folds and extends.

What makes the towing mirrors efficient are lights on the front and back of them. They also provide the possibility for a side camera with a 360-degree view.
