How do you make a 1970 Dodge Charger even better? Merge it with the 2015 Charger, of course—and then sell it to raise money for a charity.
This is exactly what one Canadian native is doing. After coming to the attention of Brad Wall, the Premier of Saskatchewan (a head government position), this customized car is getting a whole lot of attention—and for good reason. The project, dubbed Project Cyprus, combines the exterior of a 1970 Dodge Charger with the engine of a 2015 Charger. Does it get any better than that?
Actually, it does.
The custom-made model is heading to the auction block, raising funds will support the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) National Remembrance Fund. This fund honors fallen RCMP employees across Canada, supporting commemorative community programs and initiatives across Canada.
Along with the auctioning of this custom-built 1970 Charger, Project Cyprus will also include a variety of other fundraising events, such as a 50-50 draw from an NHL pre-season game set for Saskatoon on September 26th.
Work is underway on the custom Charger now, and we have to say—we can’t wait to see the results. With its combination of classic, muscle car style and modern power, this Charger is sure to leave the audience drooling.
