Funny or Die, the hilarious website that takes its ultimatums seriously, recently put out a gut-busting Knight Rider spoof with Dale Earnhardt Jr., likely to belatedly mark the TV show’s recent anniversary. (Check out the video below.) Instead of a classic Firebird, however, Little E is paired with a Camaro as K.I.T.T., the auto sidekick that has developed quite the charming—and antagonistic—back and forth with Dale Jr.

Rather than assisting Dale Jr. (who has taken over the Hoff’s role, since David is seemingly too busy decimating another art form), K.I.T.T. is more of a whiney sidekick who is afraid to take on the “bad guys” and is even concerned with Dale’s diet, calling Dale’s mom to rat him out when he’s munching on fries.
Check out the Knight Rider spoof with Dale Earnhardt Jr. below, and let us know if you think Dale should be considered a permanent replacement for the part of Michael Knight. (We’re already going to say yes because David Hasselhoff is just the worst.)
