Matt McCulloh is the proud owner of the first GT-R NISMO on the market

The first GT-R NISMO has been delivered into the hands of a lucky guy by the name of Matt McCulloh. McCulloh, a resident of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, can now lay claim to being the very first human being to possess the $150,000, 600-horsepower land monster masquerading around as a car. Well, maybe not so much possess; nobody truly possesses the 2015 Nissan GT-R NISMO, they just would hope to contain its fury.

“It is just exciting, because you see how happy he is. And whatever it is in life that makes you happy, you just well up in tears thinking that he has worked so hard for this day. And, although it is just a car, to him it is something he has been very passionate about. And it is just a great day – just a fun day,” said Sherry McCulloh, Matt’s mom.

*sniff*

It’s entirely possible that while Sherry said this, Matt was just somewhere in the background digging his heels into the ground and moaning “daaww, mahh, geeeze.”

McCulloh co-founded the North American GT-R Owners Club back in 2006, and previously owned a 2009 and 2012 GT-R.

“It was like a surreal moment for me. I saw it, and it just took a second to register that this was finally my car. And that I was going to have the privilege to own the very first GT-R NISMO for the United States and be a part of the great 30-year history of the NISMO brand,” said Matt McCulloh, GT-R NISMO owner.

Okay, that’s a pretty nice garage right there

Were you mulling over getting one for yourself? Well, best of luck: the 2015 Nissan GT-R NISMO is being sold in limited quantities at the none-too-paltry starting cost of $149,999. All that gets you is a 600-horsepower NISMO-tuned 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 riding on a sport tuned suspension and 20” black RAYS® forged-alloy wheels.
