History

The C-MAX Energi is a plug-in hybrid version of Ford’s C-MAX compact hatchback, produced at Ford’s Wayne plant in Michigan. First introduced at the 2011 North American International Auto Show, the C-MAX Energi quickly gained the attention of the industry as the replacement for the Ford Escape Hybrid and Mercury Mariner Hybrid in Ford’s lineup.
