The Ford Motor Company is offering consumers the opportunity to test drive its all-new 2017 Ford Super Duty via the Drive the Future of Tough tour, before the truck is scheduled to arrive at US dealerships in late 2016.
The tour kicked off on July 8th in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and is scheduled to conclude on November 13th in Avondale, Arizona. However, between now and then, the tour will be making 14 more stops in cities on both coasts.
People can schedule a test drive online before the tour reaches their city or can simply show up the day of the event and request a test drive. Each route will allow consumers the ability to test the new Super Duty’s best-in-class capability and 17-class-exclusive features, which include trailer reverse guidance, adaptive steering, and adaptive cruise control. Furthermore, there will be a product expert onboard during every Super Duty test drive to answer questions.
“The new Super Duty takes the heavy-duty truck segment to the next level,” said Ford Truck Group Marketing Manager Doug Scott. “Truck customers can learn how it provides best-in-class towing and hauling, and they’ll get to experience Super Duty’s class-exclusive features from the best place possible – the driver’s seat.”
Specific trucks available to be test driven include F-250, F-350, and F-450 models in the higher-level Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims. These trucks will be equipped with either the 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo diesel engine or gasoline-powered 6.2-liter V8 motor. Also, the new TorqShift-G transmission will be featured in the F-250 trucks.
Besides offering the test drives, Ford is also holding a sweepstakes that gives people the chance to win a new 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty. Those people who register and test drive a truck will be 10 times more likely to win, but you can register without participating at SuperDutyDrive.com.
