GMC Sierra AT4 Gets Powerful New Off-Road Performance Package
GMC’s new Sierra AT4 now offers an Off-Road Performance Package to give the truck even more power and adventurous capabilities.
“The 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 debuted all-new, purposeful technologies for the premium truck segment and the new Off-Road Performance Package takes it a step farther,” said Global GMC Vice President Duncan Aldred. “It offers optimized performance, both on- and off-road.”
Tire Basics: How to keep your vehicle rolling in style
The Off-Road Performance Package comes with several factory-installed features that pump up the AT4’s already-robust power:
- A 6.2-liter V8 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine, which was recently named to the WardsAuto 10 Best Engines list for 2019, delivers optimized performance thanks to a new Dynamic Fuel Management system.
- A cat-back performance exhaust system and a performance air intake. With these additions, the AT4’s V8 power grows from 420 horsepower to 435 horsepower, and from 460 lb-ft of torque to 469 lb-ft.
- 18-inch machined aluminum wheels with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires.
The Off-Road Performance Package is available now at dealerships. It’ll add $4,940 to the cost of a 2019 GMC Sierra AT4.
Even without the new performance package, the AT4 is loaded with features that make it easy to drive off the beaten path. These include a 2-inch suspension lift, four-wheel drive, a two-speed transfer case, a locking rear differential, skid plates, off-road-tuned Rancho shock absorbers, and Hill Descent Control. The AT4 looks sharp, too, with black chrome finish, body-color grille surround and bumpers, red recovery hooks, and GMC’s exclusive carbon fiber cargo box.
