GMC Sierra MultiPro Ad is Most Viewed Car Commercial

GMC is at the top of car advertisement charts, thanks to its GMC Sierra MultiPro ad.

According to iSpotTV, a marketing research firm, General Motors’ commercial for its MultiPro Tailgate scored the most viewer impressions on cable television and national broadcasts in the U.S.

iSpotTV also revealed that the ad ranked at the top of its “Attention Index” with 110, which indicates the TV commercials that are less likely to cause the viewer to pull up the TV guide, fast forward, change the channel, or turn off the TV.

GMC also nabbed fifth place in the pack with the “rule of three” ad for the Canyon, Sierra, and Sierra Heavy Duty.

The funny ad shows scores of people carrying their tailgates to the top of a mountain, where a 2019 GMC Sierra truck sits. As they are on their way, they sing “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye” by Steam.

Ultimately, the general idea of the spot is that everyone is getting rid of their tailgates because the next-gen GMC Sierra features “the tailgate to end all tailgates.”

With its multiple configurations, wouldn’t you?

As the video ad shows, the MultiPro Tailgate can fold into a step. It also folds into a workbench, a bedload stop, and other positions.

While not every pickup truck driver in America will necessarily follow suit and trade in their truck for the next-gen GMC Sierra, GMC definitely knocks it out of the park with this one.
