Life in the Fast Lane: Meet the swift and suave 2020 Corvette

The story

Per GM Authority, Hertz is partnering with Hendrick Motorsports to offer customers the option of renting a high-performance 2020 Camaro ZL1 or SS model. Starting in mid-October, 224 models will be available only at these select airport locations: Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, Charlotte, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Houston, Nashville, San Francisco, Ft. Meyers, San Diego, and Las Vegas.

Why the 2020 Camaro ZL1 and SS make great rental cars

Whether you decide to rent the ZL1 or the SS variant of the 2020 Camaro, you’re gauranteed a thrilling ride. The SS has a 6.2-liter V8 small block LT1 engine under the hood, which churns out 480 horsepower. That’s 25 more horsepower than the production model version. It boasts custom Hertz lighted door-sill plates, custom exterior graphics, and headrests embroidered with the signature of William Byron, a Hertz-sponsored Hendrick driver.

For maximum potency, however, go with the ZL1. It surges with 750 horsepower thanks to its 6.20-liter V8 small block LT4 engine paired with a revamped Callaway Supercharger. It elaborates on some of the SS model’s outfittings, while adding Hertz wheels and lighted door-sill plates, as well as custom fender badges.
