To celebrate its 100th anniversary last year, the Hertz automotive rental company commissioned a fleet of 100 special-edition Chevrolet Corvette Z06 models. Customers in select cities could rent these vehicles for roughly $300 a day.

Now that the initial rental period for the Hertz 100th Anniversary Edition Corvette Z06 is over, Hertz is getting ready to sell its fleet of the special-edition Corvettes.

A Look Back at the Corvette’s Past: A brief history of the Corvette ZR1

The Hertz 100th Anniversary Edition Corvette Z06 is a modified version of the standard Chevy Corvette Z06 vehicle. As such, it still comes packaged with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.

The Corvette Z06 also includes an extensive list of technologies. Some such standard tech systems include an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system, a 10-speaker Bose audio system, and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Of course, the special-edition Hertz Corvette vehicles have some exclusive aesthetics in addition to the Corvette Z06’s standard offerings. The vehicle is adorned with a bright yellow and black exterior paint job, the official colors of Hertz. That color scheme is carried over into the interior, with black leather upholstery and yellow stitching throughout.

As only 100 of these Hertz 100th Anniversary Edition Corvette Z06 were built, supplies will be very limited. Pricing is expect to range anywhere between $90,000 and upwards of $100,000, more than the Corvette Z06’s standard $80,900 asking price.

Still, for automotive enthusiasts hoping to own a piece of both Hertz’s and Chevrolet’s history, the hefty price tag might just be worth it for this special-edition Corvette.
