International R&B sensation and Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx recently saved a man from a burning car in real life.

Worried the vehicle might explode, Foxx called authorities and then ran to the man’s aid. Foxx and another witness then retrieved a rescue tool in order to break the truck’s window. The two heroes then cut Kyle’s seatbelt and pulled him approximately 30 feet away from the vehicle before first responders arrived on the scene. Kyle was transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for trauma to his head, neck, and chest.
The New York Daily News reported Kyle was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
“It doesn’t matter to me who it was or what they do for a living or whatever, just the idea that somebody would do that is such much more than I can fathom,” said Brad Kyle, the victim’s father. “(Kyle) gots two sisters and a brother who would have lost their brother if it wasn’t for (Foxx).”
Foxx later shared a picture of himself hugging the victim’s father, which included a touching caption. “Met the father of the young man from last night today,” he wrote. “This is all that matters. That a man, a son, a brother’s life was spared last night. God had his arms wrapped around all of us…No heroes…Just happy fathers.”
