HondaJet to Make Chinese Debut at 2017 ABACE
Today the Honda Aircraft Company announced its intentions to showcase the company’s HondaJet at the 2017 Asian Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (ABACE), which take place April 11th through the 13th in Shanghai, China. The lightweight plane’s appearance at the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport will be the first-ever static display of the HondaJet in China.
“We have received strong interest from prospects in the Asia region and showcasing the HondaJet at China’s premier business aviation event enables us to further strengthen interest in the China and Asian market,” said Honda Aircraft Company CEO and President Michimasa Fujino. “We are excited to create this first opportunity for attendees of ABACE to see the HondaJet’s innovative design and spacious, modern interior.”
The HondaJet boasts a maximum cruise speed of 422 knots (486 mph), making it the fastest jet in its class. Its 43,000-feet maximum altitude is also the highest in its class, and perhaps most impressively, it manages to be the most fuel-efficient light jet in its class by up to 17%. The HondaJet also has an NBAA IFR range of 1,223 nautical miles (1,408 miles).
The HondaJet is currently being sold in North America, South America, and Europe through the HondaJet dealer network.
