JD Power 2019 Study Determines Nissan TITAN as Top Large Light Duty Pickup
The Nissan TITAN not only takes top honors as the “Large Light Duty Pickup” in this year’s J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study, it is also the only full size truck to drive into the study’s Top 10. Of the 257 vehicles evaluated by the study to determine what new vehicles posed the least problems to owners, the Nissan TITAN tied for seventh place.

And the good news for Nissan doesn’t stop with the formidable truck’s achievements. The “Large Car” segment in the study was dominated by the Nissan Maxima.
“It is rewarding to see Nissan’s continuous improvement in the J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study over the past several years, and it is especially good to see TITAN and Maxima win their IQS categories for 2019,” said Heath Holtz, senior vice president, manufacturing, supply chain management and purchasing, Nissan North America, Inc.
Earning a spot in the top three category rankings were the Nissan Frontier, Nissan Versa, Nissan Murano, and Nissan Rogue.
“Initial quality is one important metric for our manufacturing team’s performance, but the pursuit of excellence across the Nissan lineup never stops,” added Holtz.
With its vehicles scoring so well in the J.D. Power IQS study, Nissan is now the top-performing Japanese nameplate with a move up of three spots in the J.D. Power rankings.
