KBB Names 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class a “Best Buy”
Mercedes took one of 12 top spots in this year’s Best Buy awards from automotive car source, Kelley Blue Book (KBB). It was the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class representing the brand in the Luxury Car Category, and boy did it ever represent.
“We are excited about the continued success of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class as it consistently establishes new benchmarks in its class,” remarked Stephen Cannon, president and CEO of MBUSA. “Recognition as a ‘Best Buy’ from Kelley Blue Book for the second year in a row reinforces the value our C-Class brings to the Mercedes-Benz brand.”
According to Mercedes, the C-Class stood out against its competition due to updates to its design, the inclusion of advanced technology, its commitment to safety, and its overall sophistication.
To determine winners in the 12 categories, the editors at KBB examined data such as vehicle pricing, transaction prices, consumer reviews and ratings, vehicle and retail sales information, and 5-Year Cost-to-Own. Ultimately, the C-Class was the winner in its segment.
“After carefully analyzing a wealth of data and conducting extensive vehicle testing and evaluation from the hundreds of models available for the 2016 model-year, we chose this year’s elite group of 12 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award winners because they proved to be the top values in their class,” commented Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com.
The 2016 C-Class is available at dealerships now.
