For the seventh year in a row, Kia Motors America will serve as the Official Vehicle of the Vans Warped Tour® this summer, as the punk and indie rock tour makes its way across the country. The tour is celebrating its 20th year in 40 different cities.
As the Official Vehicle of the Vans Warped Tour, Kia will have a very big presence through the concert series. For starters, the automaker will have two main stages, which will include band autograph sessions, interactive games, temporary tattoos (Temp tramp stamps anyone? No, we didn’t think so), and acoustic performances. In addition, Kia will be offering a “Soul Selfie” booth. All selfies taken can be shared on social media via an interactive app; the best pictures could even be featured online at kia.com/VansWarpedTour.
“Every summer we look forward to sharing the energy and spirit of live music with fans across the country and this year we are proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Vans Warped Tour,” announced Tim Chaney, vice president, marketing, KMA. “The 2014 Vans Warped Tour promises fun and a sense of individuality that perfectly aligns with the standout styling that makes vehicles like the Soul and Forte5 appeal to both the young and the young-at-heart.”
More than 80 bands will be featured at each stop. The Kia Soul Stages lineup includes Breathe Carolina, Yellowcard, Of Mice and Men, The Devil Wears Prada, Less than Jake, and more.
Kia will also have a Vans Warped Tour-inspired Soul on display, which made its debut in Las Vegas at SEMA last year. Features include speakers in place of windows (because who needs to see when there’s so much to hear?), air-brush artwork with the signature colors of the tour, and even a slide-out rear barbeque. The 2015 Forte5 will also be making an appearance; the Forte5 is Kia’s first-ever turbocharged compact car here in the U.S. Finally, the Soul EV will be making a guest appearance.

The Kia lounge will also have a card game called “Warped Words.”
The 20th Annual Vans Warped Tour starts tomorrow in Houston and will finish off in Denver on August 3rd.
