Kia Soul EV Wins Prix Auto Environment MAAF Award

The 2015 Kia Soul EV

The 2015 Kia Soul EV may have earned the all-American title of Vincentric’s Best Value in America, but that doesn’t mean the all-electric vehicle isn’t racking up awards in other parts of the world, too. Today, Kia Motors announced the Soul EV’s latest accolade has arrived from France, in the form of the prestigious Prix Auto Environnement MAAF 2015 awards.

Established in 2005, the Prix Auto Environnement MAAF awards recognize innovation and technology that promotes sustainable mobility, as chosen by a jury of automotive and environmental journalists. The Kia Soul EV won in the category of “Alternative Energy City Car.”

“This latest accolade for the Kia Soul EV brings further recognition for our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability through zero emissions motoring,” said Soon-Nam Lee, Vice President of Overseas Marketing for Kia Motors. “The car also looks great and is fun to drive – we hope this winning combination will attract more customers to Kia.”

Other international awards that the Soul EV has won include being named Car of the Year by Dagbladet, Autofil and Dinside in Norway; and earning the 2015 Canadian Green Car Award from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada.

The car was also rewarded with a “Red Dot” for its good looks at the 2015 Red Dot Awards, a highly-respected international design competition.
