Kia Sportage GT Rendering Is the Crossover of Our Imaginations
Earlier this month, Kia caused a bit of a stir when it introduced the new Sportage crossover at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Korean carmaker also took the time to introduce the Sportage’s new, sexy GT Line, which made us wonder—what would the Kia Sportage look like if it actually was a GT edition?
Now, we don’t have to wonder any longer. Designer X-Tomi has taken matters into his own hands, introducing what he believes is the way a proper Kia Sprotage GT should look.
X-Tomi’s rendering is influenced heavily by the design of the Kia Optima GT, offering consumers a look that would definitely turn heads were it on the road. The bumper and grille have a revamped design that highlight Kia’s signature style with gloss black elements and a larger air intake, making the new Sportage truly stand out.
We can’t get a glimpse of the Kia Sportage GT rendering’s rear end, yet we can assume it also would see a few tweaks. The rear end would presumably have a roof spoiler, a diffuser, and smoked lights to add to the vehicle’s athletic appeal. Behind the larger Tiger Nose grille, we can only assume that Kia would fit the Sportage GT with a power-hungry turbocharged engine.
While this rendering is mostly based on what the public actually wants, an actual Sportage GT model is expected to make an appearance later next year at the Geneva Motor Show. Until then, why not use our imaginations?
