Back in black
True to its name, the Black Line Special Edition features 18-inch split-spoke wheels with a black vapor chrome finish. Along with those stylish wheels, the Black Line Special Edition comes with black side mirrors, regardless of whether you choose an Ultra White, Obsidian, or Atomic Silver exterior. But it’s not all darkness — the Black Line Special Edition can light up the night with triple-beam LED headlamps and keep you cruising with build-in navigation.
Interior details
Just as you’d expect from a high-end special edition vehicle, the Lexus IS 300 F SPORT gets a custom interior. Black Line Special Edition models come with devilishly handsome black Nuluxe seats with red accents along the side bolsters and seat cushions. Other hints of red provide a pop of color throughout the cabin, too — the Black Line model features red panels on each side of the center stack. You’ll also find crimson contrast stitching on the seats, center console, and armrests. There’s also a classy, heated, wood-trimmed steering wheel, but it’s not just any old shade of black — this specific black was formulated by a 200-year-old Japanese calligraphy ink company.
Performance
You can get the Black Line Special Edition with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The rear-wheel drive version boasts a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that shoots 241 horsepower through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive model pairs a 3.5-liter V6 with a six-speed automatic transmission to deliver 260 horsepower.
