Mitsubishi Donates i-MiEVs, Outlander PHEVs to Peruvian Government
Continuing its commitment to global sustainability and its donations to governments around the world, Mitsubishi has announced that it is delivering two i-MiEV electric vehicles and 12 Outlander PHEVs to the Peruvian government. The 14-vehicle donation is part of Japan’s Non-Project Grant Aid (NPGA) for Next-Generation Vehicle Package.
The NPGA for Next-Generation Vehicle Package allows the government of Peru to use cutting-edge electric and hybrid electric vehicles to decrease its carbon footprint while simultaneously promoting Japanese vehicle brands.
The 2 i-MiEVs and 12 Outlander PHEVs were delivered at a special ceremony held in Lima on November 26th. Gonzalo Gutierrez, Chancellor of Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Marcela Huaita, General Secretary of PCM; and Tatsuya Kabutan, Ambassador of Japan in Peru, were all in attendance at the event.
Mitsubishi previously donated i-MiEVs to the government of Ulan Bator and Italy’s military police force, the Carabinieri.
