Mitsubishi Teases 2017 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
Over the past few months, rumors have been swirling around Mitsubishi, mostly concerning the Japanese carmaker’s plan to ditch sedans and instead focus solely on SUVs. Back in June, these rumors seemed to take flight when Mitsubishi announced it will be reviving the Montero name for sale in the United States, while simultaneously ending production of the popular Lancer Evolution.

Now, it looks like we might have proper confirmation of these rumors as the Montero Sport makes its official debut. Mitsubishi confirmed recently that it will be unveiling the all-new Mitsubishi Montero Sport on August 1st at the 2015 Bangkok Auto Show. This confirmation comes on the heels of a teaser image the carmaker released just last week.
Though we have a general idea as to what the 2017 Mitsubishi Montero Sport will look like, thanks to leaked patent drawings, the teaser image amps up the excitement for the new SUV. We can see a hint of sculpted body lines and sleek, slightly intimidating headlights that are sure to leave a lasting impression on consumers.
