Mercedes MY14 B-Class Electric Drive Pricing

Mercedes MY14 B-Class Electric Drive pricing information has been released

Those of you eager to get behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz MY14 B-Class Electric Drive will…well…have to wait a little while longer. Sorry, didn’t mean to get your hopes up there. The MY14 B-Class Electric Drive, Mercedes’ first all-electric vehicle to be offered in the United States, will be available in limited markets starting in mid-July with a rollout in all 50 states expected for 2015. At least we know how exactly how much the MB EV will set us back: $41,450 (plus $925 destination and delivery fees).

Oh, and that place doesn’t reflect the potential for up to $7,500 in federal tax credits and additional state/local tax credits, which reward drivers for being among the first kids on the block to drive one of these beautiful Mercedes.

Speaking of being one of the first kids on the block, you will unfortunately have to rule yourself out if you do not live in one of the following states: California, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Not surprisingly, only the coastal areas will be getting the MY14 B-Class Electric Drive from the get.

As noted by Tim Moore in a previous post, the MY14 B-Class Electric Drive will be capable of generating up to 177 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque and going from 0-60 mph in less than eight seconds, and will have an EPA-estimated 85 mile range.

We also now know that the MY14 B-Class Electric Drive will come standard with Becker MAP PILOT nav system, COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST with adaptive Brake Assist, ATTENTION ASSIST, 3 years of mbrace2 (which will include access to EV apps and Vehicle Home Page), and an 8-year/100,000-mile warranty for the 28 kWh lithium-ion battery.
