In early October, to celebrate National Name Your Car Day, Chevrolet turned to social media to generate ideas for the name of its newest special edition Camaro. Using the hashtag #NameThatCamaro, Twitter users could submit their best names with only the pictures below as inspiration:
At SEMA 2014 in Las Vegas, Chevrolet finally announced the winner: Jason M., who named the special edition model the 2015 Camaro Green Flash. The name is actually pretty appropriate and true to the Camaro’s legacy. A few years ago, Chevrolet unveiled the Camaro Red Flash at SEMA 2010.

The 2015 Green Flash Camaro is powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine, paired with a six-speed automatic or manual gearbox. The special edition model is only available on the 2SS trim. Other notable features for the Green Flash Camaro are, of course, the Emerald Green exterior, Cyber Gray rally stripes, Chrome Dusk 21-inch accessory wheels, and the RS Appearance Package. The Camaro also gets a body-color accessory ground effects package, ZL1 rear spoiler, and SS hood extractor.
The Green Flash will be available in the first quarter of next year, when the 2015 Camaro Commemorative Edition hits dealers. Chevy has not released any pricing figures as of yet.
