Between 1976 and 1979, Dodge’s lineup was populated by a pickup truck called the Warlock. Now, Fiat Chrysler is honoring the Legacy of the Dodge Warlock in an unexpected way.

The automaker just revealed the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock.

The Dodge Warlock started out as an auto show concept vehicle. However, the reception to the model was so overwhelmingly positive that Dodge decided to add the Warlock to its lineup in the late 1970s.

Now, the Warlock is returning as a special trim level for the Ram 1500 Classic. The 1500 Classic is something of a legacy model itself, carrying over the design features from the outgoing generation of the Ram 1500.

The Ram 1500 Classic Warlock will come equipped with a black grille, 20-inch semi-glass black aluminum wheels, LED rear tail lamps, and LED fog lamps. The model will also feature a unique hood decal and badging. The Ram 1500 Classic Warlock model is available in Blue Streak, Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Diamond Black, Delmonico Red, Flame Red, Granite Crystal Metallic, Maximum Steel, Pearl White, and True Blue color hues.

Under the hood of the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock is a standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, capable of producing 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. That engine can be upgraded for the available 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine, which delivers 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.

Inside, drivers will find Diesel Grey cloth seating and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. As for the model’s technology, the Warlock comes standard with ParkSense rear park assist and a 7-inch cluster display. That system can always be upgraded to an 8.4-inch Uconnect touch screen.
