For the 2020 model year, the GMC Acadia got refreshed styling, updated technology, an additional propulsion option, and an all-new trim level.

Introducing the AT4

The 2020 Acadia lineup will include old standbys, like the SLE, SLT, and GMC’s flagship Denali, along with the all-new AT4 trim level. This new Acadia model boasts aggressive styling cues, like a black, chrome-accented grille. The AT4 comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 that delivers 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque and a twin-clutch AWD system. On the outside, it comes standard sporting exclusive 17-inch wheels, available 20-inch wheels, and all-terrain tires.

New year, new look

The 2020 Acadia also boasts new, trim-specific 18- and 20-inch wheel designs, along with a redesigned center console that offers more storage space. The Denali model now has a little more exclusive style, thanks to a new color scheme with open-pore wood decor. And if you opt for the SLT, AT4, or Denali, you can enjoy a standard hands-free power liftgate.

More performance options

With its new 2.0-liter Turbo engine, the Acadia adds a new dimension to its performance capabilities. It can deliver 230 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque using GM’s tripower valvetrain technology and turbocharging system, which work together to maximize the engine’s available power at all speeds. Active Fuel Management technology helps you get more miles per gallon by optimizing efficiency in light load conditions.

In place of the model’s previous six-speed transmission, the 2020 Acadia now comes with a nine-speed automatic, which offers better acceleration, efficiency, and less engine noise. This transmission comes standard with the 2.0-liter, 2.5-liter, and 3.6-liter V6 engines.

Technological updates

GMC has renewed the 2020 Acadia inside and out. In the cabin, you’ll find the latest GMC infotainment system and an 8-inch touch screen with higher resolution, better voice recognition, and a simplified, smartphone-inspired interface. The new, improved infotainment system also boasts a customizable user experience. Each driver can tailor it with their favorite audio, navigation, and climate control preferences, and transfer that profile to another compatible GMC vehicle. And you won’t have to fidget around with selecting your profile each time you get behind the wheel — your preferences are assigned to your key fob and automatically updated when you start up the vehicle.

And, you can keep your devices charged with two additional USB-C ports, bringing the Acadia’s number of ports to a grand total of five. Other exciting new and enhanced technology includes next-generation 15-watt wireless charging, a high-definition rear vision camera, a new rear camera mirror on the Denali, and various brake and suspension refinements.
